用英文預約餐廳點菜和結帳
周末去了一家蔬食餐廳,一進去給人明亮綠意的朝氣感。一大片玻璃讓自然光灑滿整個餐廳。餐廳的正中央有一個大樹,把這樣的綠意加上有特色的燈飾,天花板鑲上鏡面倒映,整個空間有挑高延伸的錯覺。沒錯,很多時候我是被餐廳的裝潢吸引去吃東西的,沒想到它的蔬食料理也讓人很驚喜。
 
入座:
 
Customer: I have reserved a table for 4 at 2pm.(我預約了兩點四位。)
Waiter: Sure, would you like to scan the QR code for Covid-19 tracing registration?(請你掃這個碼來做心冠肺炎追蹤的實名制。)
Customer: Definitely. (沒問題)
 
句型: I have reserved a table for ____ at ____.
A table for人數,就是訂幾人的位子。At 時間 你預約的時間
 
點菜:
 
Customer: Do you have your signature dishes to recommend? (你有推薦的招牌菜嗎? )
Server: Oh, we have Korean spicy fried Cauliflower which tastes really good.
(喔,我們有韓式炸雞但它是白花椰菜炸的非常好吃。)
Customer: O.K. We’ll have that.  (好,這個。)
Server: It’s ovo-lacto vegetarian, are you all o.k. with that? (這是蛋奶素,你們都可以嗎?)
Customers : Yeah, we are fine. (我們都可以。)
 
用餐:
 
Customer1: Hey, did you notice that all their servers wear white robes as giving the
impression of the medical-related or something?
(你有注意到所有的服務人員都穿白袍好像給人一種醫護相關還是甚麼的感覺?)
Customer2: I think it tires to give the image of nutritionists. Since this is a vegetarian restaurant, healthy and nutritious might be the highlight.
(我想是想給人一種營養師的印象。因為是素食餐廳,健康和有營養可能是重點)
Customer 2: Yeah, I guess this is another chic idea to this urban greenhouse-look restaurant.

(對,我猜這是另一個時髦的點子對這家像都市溫室的餐廳來說)

 

台灣正式一點的餐廳沒有給小費的規定,但帳單有含服務費。如果服務人員真的周道,大家也不要吝嗇給予辛苦的服務人員一點回饋,可以這樣說:
 
” We really enjoyed it. Your service made our day!”
